Terms of Service

Last updated: 3/20/2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

CyberEd Collective ("Platform") is a program of NextGenCyberEd. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

The Platform connects high school cybersecurity educators with industry professionals for guest speaking and educational presentations. We provide tools for registration, profiles, search, messaging, booking, and related features. We do not guarantee any specific number of matches, bookings, or outcomes.

3. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and able to form a binding contract. You must provide accurate, current information when registering and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Educators must represent a legitimate educational context; professionals must represent their expertise accurately.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws.
  • Impersonate others or provide false information.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
  • Scrape, automate access, or overload our systems without permission.
  • Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages.
  • Share content that is inappropriate for a K–12 educational setting.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Platform or its users.

5. Bookings and Presentations

Bookings and presentations arranged through the Platform are agreements between educators and professionals. We facilitate connections but are not a party to those arrangements. You are responsible for fulfilling commitments you make (e.g., showing up for a presentation, providing age-appropriate content). Content presented by professionals is their responsibility; we do not endorse specific presentations.

6. Intellectual Property and License

The Platform and its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by NextGenCyberEd or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You retain ownership of content you submit; you grant us a license to use, display, and process that content as needed to operate the Platform.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE OPERATION. USE OF THE PLATFORM IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEXTGENCYBERED AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM OR FROM ANY ARRANGEMENTS MADE BETWEEN USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

10. Changes and Termination

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or discontinue the Platform or your access with or without notice where we deem it necessary.

11. General

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which NextGenCyberEd operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
